Those we called the little ones

Those we once called the little ones have grown now. Despite the fact that they have become teenagers or adults even, in our eyes, they are still children. It’s strange, isn’t it? Those of us with younger siblings and cousins of our own know this feeling all too well.

Is it because we watched their first steps? Heard their first words? Or is it because their growth happened too gradually for us to notice until one day, they were taller, wiser, different - but still, somehow, the same?

Small acts of kindness

It only takes a moment for us to show kindness. Yet, for the person on the receiving end, that simple act may leave a mark that stays with them for years, perhaps even a lifetime.

I’ve come to realize that what seems like a passing gesture to us (a smile, a compliment, a word of encouragement, or a helping hand) can be monumental for someone else. We often move through life unaware of the weight others carry, and in that moment of kindness, we might be offering something far greater than we realize.
